Some regions and movements are fighting for political autonomy and against the centralist national government. I have been told that Portuguese centralist government does not allow the formation of regional, provincial, and local political parties, making the movements and parties listed here illegal and semi-clandestine.
One of the more significant movements is the region of Lusitânia, or Leukitanea in the Lusitanic language. It's in the center of the modern country of Portugal, inland from the coast.
