M'Hamid el Ghizlane
M'Hamid el Ghizlane
The last major stop on my visit to Morocco,
or at least the last newly visited place,
was M'Hamid el Ghizlane
on the edge of the Sahara desert.
Generally referred to simply as M'Hamid,
the town is at the end of the paved roads,
southeast of Marrakech just about 25 kilometers
from the Algerian border.
I would relax here for a few pleasant days,
and also go on an overnight trip into the desert.
From here I would return for a few nights each in
Marrakech and Tangier before returning to Casablanca
to fly home.
